Thermosaver Hypothermia Bag

Thermosaver is a rescue bag that is small, lightweight, quick to use, and effective for the evacuation of hypothermic and injured persons. It has been developed in collaboration with Norwegian experts in rescue operations and emergency medicine, as well as the Norwegian Defence Research Establishment.

An "All-in-one" hypothermia rescue bag that replaces windproof cloths, wool blankets, bubble wrap, and carrying slings. The rescue bag has a water-resistant outer fabric, a polyester-based insulation material in the middle, held in place by a thin polyester sheet. In the lying area and under the head, the insulation is double thick. A water-absorbing moisture barrier (ASAP/Gemini) should be used closest to the patient.

The burrito principle is used to wrap the patient, meaning the rescue bag is flexible and fits all body sizes. The bag, with the inserted moisture barrier, is rolled up to enable the "log-roll" method for moving the patient onto the rescue bag. Once the folding is completed around the patient, the rescue bag is secured using Velcro fasteners.

Tested to EN-1865 standards with a lifting strength of at least 250 kg for each carrying handle.
