AirTEP – Airborne Tactical Extraction Platform

The AirTEP (Airborne Tactical Extraction Platform) is a purpose-built system engineered for rapid insertion, extraction, and casualty evacuation in environments where helicopters cannot land. Used by military units, special forces, and specialised rescue teams worldwide, AirTEP enables fast and controlled deployment or recovery of personnel from land, sea, or confined spaces. It is designed for missions where speed, precision, and safety are critical.

AirTEP connects to any helicopter platform and supports rapid boarding and lift operations with minimal setup time. Its robust construction allows up to 10 personnel in full combat gear to be extracted in under five minutes—significantly faster than traditional single-load methods. A 25-meter deployment line, controlled by the loadmaster, allows safe and accurate operations even in complex terrain or urban environments.

Once airborne, the platform provides excellent stability, enabling helicopters to fly at speeds up to 100 knots (approx. 185 km/h) without pitch or rotational movement. AirTEP performs reliably in both day and night operations and enhances safety during high-risk missions.

It provides unmatched tactical mobility and rescue capability, making it an essential system for modern airborne operations where rapid extraction and personnel safety are paramount. The manufacturer of AirTEP is our partner Escape International.

Typical operational scenarios include:

  • Special operations and direct action missions
  • Combat search and rescue (CSAR)
  • Hostage rescue and counter-terrorism
  • Maritime counter-terrorism
  • High-risk evacuation and general combat support
