NATO Stretcher Wheel Carrier (ARION)

The NATO Stretcher Wheel Carrier (ARION) is a lightweight and robust wheeled undercarriage designed to improve mobility and efficiency during casualty evacuation in demanding environments. Developed for military, tactical, and rescue operations, it enables rapid patient transport over long distances and across difficult terrain while reducing physical strain on personnel.

The carrier features a durable foldable aluminium frame that combines strength and low weight, making it easy to transport, deploy, and store. It can be quickly attached to compatible stretchers, allowing one or two operators to move casualties efficiently in field conditions. The large all-terrain wheels provide excellent stability and manoeuvrability on uneven surfaces such as sand, snow, gravel, and rough terrain.

The ARION system is fully compatible with all NATO STANAG 2040 stretchers, including duo and four-fold models, as well as selected Ferno military stretcher systems. This ensures seamless integration into existing CASEVAC and MEDEVAC workflows and allows flexibility across different mission profiles.

The foldable design enables compact storage and transport, making the wheel carrier suitable for rapid deployment, vehicle transport, and air or ground operations. Optional configurations such as braking systems or ski attachments can be provided to support operations in specific environments. The system supports safe and controlled evacuation while improving operational efficiency and patient handling in challenging situations.
