The NORSE RESCUE® Chest Seal Non-Vented is an advanced occlusive dressing designed for the treatment of open chest wounds caused by penetrating trauma. It creates an airtight seal over the wound, helping to prevent air from entering the chest cavity and reducing the risk of tension pneumothorax.
Penetrating chest injuries that result in open chest wounds can lead to tension pneumothorax, one of the leading causes of preventable death in trauma and battlefield environments. The NORSE RESCUE® Chest Seal Non-Vented is developed to provide rapid and effective wound sealing in emergency situations.
The chest seal features a medical-grade hydrogel adhesive that is strong enough to adhere to skin exposed to blood, sweat, hair, sand, or water. This ensures reliable performance even in challenging prehospital or tactical environments.
